Course Description

This course aims to integrate artificial intelligence technology with IoT development, providing students with foundational knowledge in using the ESP32 development kit and MicroPython programming. The course covers the basics of electronic circuit logic, IoT hardware connections and debugging, as well as how to utilize ChatGPT to assist in calling MicroPython library functions for project programming. By the end of the course, students will have built an IoT project from scratch, gaining comprehensive skills from hardware circuitry to software development, and presenting their finished project in a final showcase.

2. What computer equipment is required for the course?

Before you can start to program ESP32 with MicroPython, you need an integrated development environment (IDE), here we recommend Thonny. Thonny comes with Python 3.7 built in, just one simple installer is needed and you’re ready to learn programming.

The teaching mode of this course is online, and Zoom needs to be downloaded in advance before class.
